It is with great sadness that I have been asked by the family to make a short statement following the death of a young farmer , TFFer and Nephew of John ( @Old Tip ) last Thursday night Nathan Atkinson ( @njatkinson1) died last Thursday night whilst working on his home farm. He was discovered by his girlfriend and his parents were eventually traced and notified whilst they were on holiday in New Zealand. They are now back home and I know I speak for everyone on TFF in expressing our absolute shock and passing on our sincerest condolences to his loved ones, family, friends and all the community that knew him at this difficult time. Nathan would have been 27 on the 29th of this month. If there is anything to be merciful for in this tragedy it would be that it appears that Nathan was killed instantly. I had met Nathan during the family bale carts and also followed and admired his photography of his Longhorn cattle on here and Facebook and Twitter I cannot imagine the loss his parents , girlfriend and family must be feeling. You are in our thoughts RIP @njatkinson1
