Taken from Facebook. A vegan cafe in Church Stretton 🤭 Dear Customers, Just a little bit of Info… As I am sure you have realised… in recent months we have changed our menu and become vegan/vegetarian. This was always going to be a risk but has been done for the most unselfish, compassionate reasons. It seems that this risk has not paid off… our takings have dropped dramatically in those months to the point of seriously considering the future of Blakeman’s. I have had to leave the day-to-day running of the shop, although still manage it, to return to teaching, because I missed my career, but also to try to keep the shop going financially. I miss all of our customers but this was always the plan Please be open minded about vegan food. We make really delicious vegan sausage rolls, paninis, sandwiches and cakes - they’re all fresh and homemade. We only ever have positive feedback from those who try our food! Why not try something different yourself? Vegan food has come a long way in the last five years and really is not bland! If you have any suggestions for improving our (vegetarian/vegan) menu, please do let us know! We love our business and have worked extremely hard to establish it from scratch and would be devastated if closure was the only option! Many thanks for your support. Jo & Neil Blakeman
