Keep the sun shining! Simon WEEKEND FORECAST ================ Issued: 1100 hrs, Thursday 10th March 2016 SATURDAY ------------- Pressure is going to be mostly high across the UK through Saturday. A warm front is going to be passing over Scotland and then, although weak, trails into northern England. Plenty of cloud across northern and western areas through the weekend. There will be some hill and coastal fog here with low cloud lapping in from the west. More eastern and southern parts of England and Wales should be brighter with broken cloud and some bright spells. However there will always be a fair amount of cloud around, although this tending to be higher. Winds mainly NE 12-15kt (F4) in the far south of England, SW 15-20kt (F4-F5) in northern England, Scotland and Ireland, although SW 20-25kt (F5-F6) in western Scotland and western Ireland. SUNDAY ----------- High pressure remains cloud by on Sunday, probably to the east of East Anglia. A weak frontal system is trapped within the high, although this producing little more than an enhanced area of cloud. There could be a few spots of rain and drizzle across the southeast and central parts of the country. A further front passing northeast across Ireland and western Scotland bringing some low cloud and drizzle here. More persistent rain could affect the west of Scotland. Elsewhere cloud is going to be more broken across Wales and much of northern and southwest England. Note confidence is where the best of the cloud breaks will be remaining low. Winds will be NE 12-15kt (F4) in southern England, SW 20-26kt (F5-F6) in western Scotland and western Scotland. **ends**
