[QUOTE="bitwrx, post: 6759432, member: 86972"] I have Engelbert Strauss Alrakis as my summer boot. Rate them highly. Only two minor issues: 1, the laces they come with are really long, sorted with a hot knife; 2, the front of the sole seems to stick out further than it should, so I catch it on the pig fences (shin height) more frequently than I do in wellies. Other than that, a really comfy and hard-wearing, and surprisingly light, boot. Everything was either too fancy and complicated, or flimsy. Over winter I've been wearing long johns and either overalls or waterproof bib and brace (kaiwaka, naturally). Way comfier combo than jeans and an over-layer. Not fully decided on my summer garb yet. Shorts will be my trusty Carhartts, but trousers are TBD. I have a pair of Cactus trousers I picked up in NZ in 2009, that are still far from worn out. Really, I should just bite the bullet and buy anther pair of them.
