Definitely something in that.
The 5 in 10 calves run I had were during autumn calving. Can’t control cow condition as easily then as you can with spring calvers. Big long Bull, wondered at the time if perhaps the calves didn’t have enough room to get into correct presentation for calving.
Sometimes you just get a run of things.
Bought a new Charolais bull in 2017. 5 of his first 10 calves were backwards. Didn’t loose any but thought what on earth have I bought. Won’t want this one long.
Only had another half dozen or so in 260 from him since. Will be sad day when he has to go...
Yes, maybe they just couldn’t be arsed letting me run it through their crush to retag.
Anyway, they sold it and whoever bought it put it to slaughterhouse and never heard anymore of it.
Common sense would suggest 3 out of 4 should be ok. After all if secondary tag had been a metal rather than...
Just to throw a spanner in the works I was told by mart staff when selling a cull cow that 3 out of 4 sides showing was enough.
Took one in like that and was going to get Carrs to make a print while you wait one up for up me but mart said not necessary.
Totally agree and yet UK Ag couldn’t think of one particular reason to protest about & join with our European cousins recently.
There’s the reason right there. Whole Greenwashing farce of net zero & carbon offsets & how Agriculture here in the UK is treated as a result. One sided calculation...
Bailey being sold by mainly JD dealers helps them a lot.
Deeroid blinkers on. Same with the Kv ploughs that most of them sell. Auto reset system from the last century, big selling point when advertising secondhand if it has no welds yet still regarded as the thing to have:unsure:
Should be alright. I see that I posted in spring 2017 that I thought one of mine had failed.
Well it had, followed by the other one a month later.
One side I fitted complete unit from Kuhn. The other I just got bearing from local place. Traded machine in this winter and both sides still working...
They do.
Getting 650 acres from a set on a 3m
Previous amazone‘s were around 350 acres.
As for time loss is that a big thing on some makes?
Never lost one in 22 years of amazones & 7 with Lemken.
i’d say it’s more common for the 627 to be on 24” wheels rather than 20” ones that are listed as standard.
Should be fine changing them. Looks a completely different and more able machine on the bigger tyres.
8 used amazone combis plus a power harrow on their website just now!!
Lemken a very good drill but I think a lot of it north of the border is now following the crowd.
Amazone with double disc should be equally as good I’d have thought.
It can be done.
This 48 year old atcost one was taken down in south west Scotland & rebuild in Angus a few years ago by a company called DMac Construction. Based in Fife just like @DMac17 so maybe worth giving a call. Probably too busy putting up new ones themselves these day but maybe worth a...
Didn’t need to be a genius to see it coming. Only to see what’s been happening in the bits of the UK that have had them over 10 years now.
Riverbanks devoid of all the alder & willow that used to line them, banks burrowed into & collapsing into river, Expense for roads & network rail having to...
That’s the way I’ve always done it.
Worked in exactly the same way when VAT was 15% & 17.5%. Enter total number on calculator, then divide by 115 or 117.5 followed by pressing the % button which then gives net figure.
Can‘t follow all those complicated methods on page 1 at all though. Heads...
Had mine 2+1/2 years. Would hate to go back to a left hand shuttle. After a couple of days using it the GSM joystick/shuttle is best thing about it.
Been very reliable. Only thing that hasn’t worked is the clock keeping the time. Looses around a minute a day but saves having to change the thing...
Remember it being very cold between Xmas & New Year 1995 going into 96.
-15C to -20C for a week. Loads of burst pipes across the country when it thawed. Couldn’t get a plumber for weeks.
Our swedes turned to mush too. Hardly a field of winter oats north of the border survived it either and...
That the selling point from my ex Can-Am dealer who lost agency last year and now selling CF Moto. Basically saying it is the same as a Can-Am.
Pity, as really good dealer and would much rather stick with them but will go for one of the non Chinese owned options instead next time.
Always thought Bailey were one of the higher height off the ground trailers for their tonnage on the market and so less suited for tipping in low sheds.
