anything interesting in the budget?

I knew any Government of any colour would end up stopping the the no VED on lowest emission cars as soon as the car industry had delivered. Typical.

Still get riled when I think of the Climate Change Minister Huhn who perjured himself for those points. What was he driving on the M11 - a BMW 7 series ......................

Osborne shot the red Fox over minimum wage too

They decided to keep the duty exemption for cidermakers producing less than 7000 litres per year, despite EU rules saying they can't.
That was a very good one.

They could have just said they were going to impose duty as directed but then set the level at 0%. This way does stick two fingers up. Sort of

budget does not resemble manifesto....second time he's done that and not really the way to carry on IMO.....don't like the increase in insurance tax at all:poop:

i wonder just how solvent uk is really as our debt still went from 60% to 80% of gdp last parliament?

in regard to sheds? renewables? houses?

Relaxing PD rights, converting AG buildings and the like, much like @nick... Current project.

Waiting to hear from my guys what the latest is. He told me around here very few farmers even know about the rules that got relaxed last year and none are making the most if it, bonkers, it's never been so good nor money so cheap!

you wouldn't pay tax on the rental income... it has no bearing on other income. So I guess you could take money from your mother and the government wouldn't tax you, but ultimately, you're still taking money from your mother. Unless I'm missing something?

And with any luck that will help limit the inevitable soaring of youth homelessness following the governments decision to scrap housing benefits for under 25's and to prevent under 25's from receiving the 'living' wage. (Hopefully my cynicism comes across adequately)
