Started OSR with new drill,

i`ll get some photos and put them up, the point is a standard duett point running at 4-5 inches deep
A Duett coulter direct in stubble 4-5 inch deep ???? What soils do you have ?? Must be mighty loose or light ground.

If you run the seed-coulter that deep, you might place the osr anywhere else..... Some photos of how and where you do it please ??

I think I remember seeing a picture of Fred's set up using an adapted solo coulter

I am overall happy with it , plan to have a purpose made point holder , that is stronger,

Low disturbance , and row spacing of 25cm, 50lha of 18 27 ,

we used to use the Duett coulter , but this is different, more of a strip till system

Yes , when in work it's about 3 inches above the worked zone, ideally it would be good to follow this crop , by direct drilling , with Dutch industries openers,:)

The point is in upto roll pin depth,

We were using sumo trios to establish osr, and I wasn't happy with disturbance,

How have you got on with this system ? we are about to try a demonstration PPF split hopper horsch drill when the weather will allow equipped with a prototype coulter similar to the sl to deliver solid fert and the seed is broadcast on top slightly further back via a different pipe my only concern being that the point opens a narrow slot which the seed drops into and is lost but time will tell I guess .

Is the OSR just being sprinkled on top, then covered by the harrows?

Yes it works well can't find any seed on top all about 1/2 inch deep

We have put a small bolt at the end of the tube to spread the seed to avoid this however be careful as it could be like putting finger over end of hose, to be honest there are no slots this year , but last year there was,
