what do others do to make scratch mark round the field for the ins and outs? how much room do u give from the fence? should i just slacken the top link so just the back furrow makes a mark?
But don't pull in and out on the headland tramline unless you want a kick in the knackers from the sprayer driver!Use the headland tramline as a guide.
No I lift out when the front tyre hits the tramline. But don't pull in and out on the headland tramline unless you want a kick in the knackers from the sprayer driver!
Same here as long as the scrats on the inside of the tramline ,nowt worse than spraying headlands and all the ins n outs are right were the sprayer runsUse the headland tramline as a guide.

my father had an old ministry ploughing guide. to mark a field out properly, send an old boy to walk around the edge of the field holding a piece of string. Tie the other end of the string to the tractor bonnet. if the driver keeps the string taught, he will have a perfectly marked out field!
Thought you used painted fence postsIf I have no tramlines I just use the 'Force' But as I'm an ex DB owner I have an advantage in that dept
Oh no I didn't need them I had a 1690 which is a bigger better version of the DB1954. So I just dropped plough in and away. Got it inch perfect..........Everytime.Thought you used painted fence posts
It's how I do it with students aswell. Workes well in principle!!! It's getting the 'bit' when to drop and lift the plough that proves slightly harder!!!
