MY OPINION AS AN INMIGRANT IN THE UK
why immigration issue does matter on my idea that UK should leave the EU (free movement, dual nationality, eu passport holder)
If I was you : get back sovereignty, be able to elect and sack those in power and not share nation funds will be enough to take my decision of voting LEAVE but here I will tell you why free movement is bad for the UK
I got here with no problem so easily from a south american country, as easy as other millions of people in the world can if they wish to.. just get an EU passport, the majority can get one because at least from where I come from we have a member of our family (grandparents mostly) that is portuguese, spanish or italian.. so the paperwork its done great! so you now have the chance to choose.. right, what country its doing good economically I can speak the language I learnt at school and most important their people will be ok with me, they are nice and polite to inmigrants ..ENGLAND!
So you now have thousands and probably soon millions of “EU passport holders” leaving their home countries because back in south america things are not going well, its unsafe and just trouble all the time.. so they will come over here ( they are already doing it) having the same opportunities than you, having the opportunity to study a career at european citizen cost, not at £40000 a year for international student anymore, get a NIN, using nhs, being able to claim benefits, and most important british people are ok with that. Go take a look on groups in Facebook, colombianos in colombia, chilenos en inglaterra, argentinos en inglaterra, brasileiros na inglaterra just copy and paste those texts on google translate to make sure that what I’m telling you its not a lie, they help each other to come over here, they have forums, they have tutorials, how to make the paperwork easy to get a eu passport and even how to get benefits once you are here, how can you control it? this things happen behind your back while you keep paying taxes and they get spreaded on people that they shouldn’t be here, you nhs will collapse soon if not just europeans come over I’m talking about all the possibly other millions of eu passport holders coming over having the same chance than you, I don’t think its bad to be against the free movement that is damaging your economy slowy ..they are basically stealing from you and taking the profit back home, having the same opportunities for a job, health care and you have. Plus they offer services for cheaper, the other day in one of this groups I saw how a hairdresser was asking how much she should charge in order to have more work and make her time worth while she is here, and offering her services for cheap, that means the local hairdresser would have to put the prices down, I saw it too in building work, its disgunting.
I didn’t even mention you don’t nesesaraly need a eu passport, just be married to someone that has it, then you would have a lot more people to deal with..
As an inmigrant I can tell you, things in the uk borders are very easy for us just because we hold a eu passport, no questions no nothing.
I heard if the uk leave the eu there is a possibility of using the australian skilled immigration point visa which I think it will work very well in here.
why am I writing this.. simple because it seems like british people are too scare of not to be ok with this.. and you shouldn’t be ok, it will destroy your economy, take the chance to fix it VOTE LEAVE.
