I'M OUT

Been a bit tender the last couple of days, learning how to operate ,without the ability to look any other place but forward and up a bit.
A good mate, and fellow Tffer, visited today, seeing my attempts at walking, led him to suggest @Landyman got it right, (he didn't, there's NOWT been inserted,) certainly not the Broom handle that I look like I must be wearing)
Sitting down on owt is an act of faith , a journey into the unknown, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, thanks for all the good wishes, and kind words, I hope I've been able to give folk a bit of a laugh, it's been an experience.......
Sometimes t'interweb can be a reet bloody hindrance especially when , for example, you Google a patients name, his date of birth (you have to repeat this out loud to get your dose of a controlled drug) and , say a key word like say 'drugs'.
It's amazing what comes up,
Do you know you can fit over half a million quids worth of amphetamine (whizz) in a sports bag?
I reckoned I was doing alreet when three bulls in't trailer came to four grand!
Anyway, turns out I was stuck down this ward with him, along with another coo farmer btw, and a builder built like his brick outhouses , cos he couldn't intimidate us.
He didn't, or the fantastically committed and dedicated nursing staff, that nursed him with exactly the same exemptional high quality of care that we received. even if it was under mutered breath.
The hugely ironic thing was, he did a runner , whilst on an official fag break, whilst being watched by the biggest bloody hulk of a nurse ( Eastern European) you could wish to meet.
Our friend'll turn up before sentencing in a couple of weeks. The visitors he received left one thinking shitty coos, stupid sheep and abject skintness isn't a bad career choice.

Anyway, was gonna get all emotional and put summat on the 'depression 'thread, but here'll do.

Sitting with my girls, outside at dusk, them doing daft kids stuff, birds singing, fading rays of sunlight glistening through the trees ( even if it did play havoc with my eyesight) and best of all, the feeling of green green grass between my toes, was summat I'll remember for the rest of my life.
Priceless.

Having my body clock completely and totally turned upside down, I'm just joining the 'Wide awake club' for't neet.

Now I wonder if there's owt on't telly that can occupy my fecked up brain during the early hours of Friday. ........

Those Geordies have more faith than Mr Farage.
Who'd've thought........
Glad to here your on the mend plenty on tv to watch on tv bloody eu vote for next few wks good result at last

Fair to say it sounds like you've got plenty of material for another chapter in the book
Just enough time to write your book ;)
You really should consider writing, I'd pay to read it. Think "Henry Brewis" with attitude.
Good luck, and I too would pay good money to read your book.
Me too(y)

Could be a film un all:whistle::ROFLMAO::joyful::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:..............

Bl**dy hell @kneedeep just look at all these potential book sales going begging:D Speaking as your literary agent :bookworm::bookworm: (yeah, I know we haven't got anything in writing yet) can I suggest this is not the time to be laying about doing nowt - get yer backside into gear and get typing(y)(y) Strike now, while the irons still hot!
£ signs are ringing in my head as I write this - I'm considering putting @Gator's book and all them others(see post #404) on the back burner until we get yours on the shelves.:LOL:

Keep smiling;):)

P.S. I'm looking in Yellow Pages now for George Clooney's number, to have a word with him about playing you in the film. Be in touch later.(y)

Turns out he's ex-directory for some reason:scratchhead:. My "people" are talking to his "people" and then we'll talk to your "people" who, I'm guessing, are @Gator ,@Leereade ,@Darren Hough ,@Landyman ,@llamedos et al, so I expect it could be a while.

Totally legitimate, I can assure you:sneaky:. Just trying to ensure my overheads are covered. You wouldn't believe the amount of 2p coins the phone box has been fed, trying to contact Mr Clooney:LOL:

It's just written down life though.

I'm in trouble with Mother for posting too much. I tell her that those years of working nights, to pay the school fees obviously weren't in vain.
As for an actor, think of a cross between Basil Fawlty, Fred Dibnah, Compo, Victor Meldrew and the Michael Douglas character from Falling Down.

My on screen hero .........

Did anyone watch that Ch4 documentary
'The horse hoarder'?
Maybe @llamados could find a link.

Anyway, he had to go onto town once, they put his bath on top of a bonfire in't woods and got stiff brush on him.

'Bout reet.

Can you turn your head at all or have they fused the bones?
Yeah ( gingerly)
He's not fused owt, theory being the large amount of scar tissue will protect the cord, it needs as much space as it can get.

Gotta admit , had a couple of 'scares' already, nurse simply dabbing a bit of blood off today, felt just like leccy fence 'kick' right inside.
Arm shot in air and teeth crunched together. ....
Needs to settle down somewhat.
