JD 633 loader

Hi folks I need to change the quick release fittings for the 3rd service on our loader, I have attached a pics of said fitting

does any one know the where I can get a couple like the one pictured, I priced our nearest dealer and they quoted 32 quid ish per fitting, would that be about right or not?

Fittings made by Faster are odd threads etc, but you can get adapters from that thread to 3/4 bsp or whatever conventional fittings are for a tenner or so. Or, just change the o rings in your faster fittings

So Faster is the brand name then? I really need 2 new female fittings as the originals that came on the loader are buggered

Yes, that's who makes the fittings and the multi docker, in hindsight I wish I'd specced a 2 port Multi dock for the 3rd service, but as a part they're £400 now.

IIRC they're either M22 thread or in JD case most probably ORFS. Get two standard 1/2 QRC and two 1/2 BSP bulkhead fittings. The bulkheads will fit onto the loader, the QRC on one end and then get an adaptor from bsp to the ORFS.

If you can scource from hydraulic place a female ORFS to 1/2BSP male that has enough of a stem length you coukd get lucky and have enough thread protruding through the bracket hole to thread the quick release on directly. Remember to fit a doughty washer with it.

The female 2-port multifaster is just over £200 and the male end for the attachments is just over £100. It's a great system, if not a bit pricey.

Might be the way to go as the things are a fecking pain if the attachment has been in the sun.

Agree and if you've got hydraulic locking pin on the headstock, then it nullifies any changeover advantage, if you spend the next 10 minutes cursing at the hydraulic couplers.

On my 651 the bulkhead fitting is M22x1.5 on the short end and face sealing on the long end.

The O.P appears to have a 1/2" Q.R coupling with a long threaded male face seal that doesn't need a bulkhead fitting.

So a bulkhead fitting with 1/2" BSP one side and face seal the other would mean Q.R couplings can be replaced cheaply in the future.

Unfortunately practical and useful things like that are not available!!! That's why sometimes you can get away with using a male male fitting and using the QRC to clamp it onto the plate aslong as it's not to heafty!! A copper washer instead of a doughty can help sometimes aswell.

A little bodge is to weld the male male onto a piece of flat and bolt it onto the carriage!!!

Bearing in mind these couplings spend most of the time vertical and exposed to water etc,you may wish to change to male couplings on the headstock.

These are amazing, and save a lot of messing around to unpressurise the hoses. The other advantage is that people can't borrow your attachments as they don't have the fitting.
There only expensive when you go to buy them but you soon forget whilst using them.

But then they would have to go buy a couple of fittings and nobody likes spending money. ( even though I do have a box full I've taken off) ​

Yes I've got a couple of borrowers with Quickes who have two male fittings on the loader whilst mine (also a JD 633) is one of each. To be fair, I don't begrudge as having good neighbours is very handy when, for example, your ballast roll breaks a wooden bearing mid rolling some turnips in, and you can just dump it and pop next door for another.
