Has anyone noticed how a few bad buyers can ruin a market!

I find myself in somewhat of a dilemma this morning. I know the market and the auctioneers referred to well. I know the identity of the original poster also although I do not know him personally rather know who he is and where he is from.
I have always found the mart to be a good well run rural market.
My dilemma is should I give the auction a heads up what is being put on here although I would never reveal the identy of the poster ? Problem is it took me minutes to find out who he is and where he is from so would take them the same but that wouldn't be my aim. My aim rather is to protect the reputation of the mart for the future. I'm all for free speech but there are serious allegations being made on here some over law breaking.
What would you do ?

Just looked and a market within 28 miles on the same day last week had a sqq 1.5p higher. This market is run by different auctioneers. Is that market rigged as well ?
If I were a mod I'd be taking this thread down for fear of litigation. On the other hand I am all for free speech so I applaud the fact it's left open.

A mechanism that would set a basic price to be targeted that day (standardised in some way) would be a good idea IMO. Sellers go to a lot of trouble tagging stock, licenses, rounding them up, trailers, hurdles, crushes, traffic, sh1t, you name it and yet the idea of simply packing the stock back up and taking them home if the price is iffy seems such a simple task to some. It's not, it's a hard days work for nothing if you don't sell so I'm sure many sellers just go Fk-it and let them go for a song. Some even need the money that week but that's nothing to do with this thread TBH, cash flow planning should be better.

A good guide for the week means farmers don't waste their time and energy and can pressure the buyers for a better price by making more informed decisions on selling stock. Not all farmers are auction monkeys and the few that are seem to be pretty selfish with their information I feel.

I know it would never work and some people would have their noses put our of joint but at least in theory I think it's an idea to contemplate.

Auctions aren't the free market they're made out to be that's one thing I've learnt as I've stumbled along!

I wouldn't tell the market in this case because the OP hasn't named it

You just need to counter his argument with your positives against his negatives and let people make up their own minds everyone is entitled to a opinion

I'm obviously on ze list, the non existent mafia have spoken.
Never mentioned the market name, never mentioned anyone by name and the reason this was posted was because I like the market and always have and didn't want to name it, simple.
The ones who are upset are the ones maybe doing it more harm than I ever could.

All's well then. I've disproved your accusations and you've decided you like the mart after all.
Job done.
Ps I don't think there is a list

The only people I've seen "black balled" at a mart are ones who owed them money and they were trying to buy not sell.

One went to the mart up the valley created a bit of buzz there before taking them for rather a lot of money when he went down. The other has had his collar felt.

Absolutely agree. Without them we'd be buggered.
I take my hat off to them opening up to us miserable buggers weekly. Might not be perfect but they are essential to our industry.

Without livestock markets the beef and sheep industry would end up the way of the pig and chicken sectors which would be a total and utter disaster!

Livestock markets aren't perfect and given the thousands of animals that are traded across them in the UK weekly then no doubt they will always have sold some one's stock who isn't happy but all things told they provide a vital service to the UK livestock industry and with farming being a very isolated job already without the markets it would make farming an even lonelier job than it already is.
