They've just rang to say they are coming to inspect. What do I need to have in place? We are in a NVZ and don't use any muck. Advice welcome please.
We've had one and they were interested in the waste exemptions which we held, that fuel and liquid fert stores were bunded and also make sure you've an emergency action plan with drains and watercourses marked near the yard.
Had one in November. Went through nvz records with a fine tooth comb but I do have muck coming out of my ears. Wanted to see n max figures, fertiliser plan. Yields used for calculation of n applied. Also checked spray records and looked in the store. Wanted a plan of where the yard drains went but that was more to do with my silage effluent.
They did send an email letter saying what they wanted to see.

I'm surprised they wanted to see Nmax figures. They're mentioned a lot in the NVZ regs but the actual rule is that you're not allowed to exceed them, not that you have to do the calculation. If you're sure you're ok I'd just give the data to any inspector that asks for them and let them do the working out!!
