Today has been a good day planning has been approved for my new straw barn.
And I've just bought a 100ft long by 65 ft wide building for 2k !!!!!!!
It's 10 years old so il put a new roof on it just to be safe.
Just have to be in the right place at the right time.

The steels were on 2 wanked out artic trailers so I just borrowed them..... never again

All dug out.
Painted all the steel and extended all the legs by 5ft.
Built all the bolt boxes just waiting on my mate to come out with his satalite so we can concrete the bolts in.
Been busy building my other shed as well.

Out of interest what satellite machine thingy does your friend have that can mark it out?

One of those things they are eye watering exspensive and you need to be pretty switched on to know how to use it it just used lasers and works out all the angles for you and pin points ever bolt to the nearest 0.1 of a mm.
A lot easyer than trying to use string to mark them.

just out of interest do they sight the machine on every corner ie at 4 different locations or do they sight it randomly and sight every post from this point?
it could be a total station?
we were always told although you can sight every post from 1 position if say you looked down the back wall the pegs would vary in and out a little?

We did another barn at Christmas and it was bang on when you look down it it depends who's operating it I surpose

'Tis a robotic total station probably with built in GSM GPS.............lovely tool to use but only as good as the programmer

I bought a 115x120 for £5k had enough steel left over (because it had 12"x6" bracers all over) to build my 75x40 single pitch shed.
