The 6506 came out towards the end of the 00 series so was not out long before the 10s were introduced.

I wouldn't be put off by the 5.9 in a 66. Same engine as in a 3650. I liked the right hand reverser in the 00s better than the 10s LHR.

I haven't been put off just something different!!
I'm used to a LHR

Will get shot down for this but here I go: yes a deere is a good tractor but your paying for the name, you will get a tidy tractor with the spec you want for less than what you will pay for an average deere

But do they last longer? Not scientific, just that I frequently notice Fendts for example with 12K plus hours for sale, JD's 8k, NH/Case nearer 6k, Landini, Deutz, Zetor etc around the 4K Or does the original purchase price affect how long someone keeps a tractor before changing it?

I would say original price will dictate to an extent, but the Zetor with 4000 hours maybe on its 1st owner but the Fendt with 12000 hours could be it's 4th owner.
