low points include bleeding my tractor brakes, absolutely ridiculous that the quadrant and part of the cab floor obscure access, on the right, to the bleed nipple, much cursing was done

also wrangling one Jersey boy with a halter (he's not halter trained) and herding the other boy when my OH got home. But the end result is satisfying, they're out on grass

besides this took two girls to abbatoir, went to bearing/seal store for digger bearings and dumper steering seal, cash and carry for essential supplies (rum and coke ;)), supermarket, collected the plate whacker, fitted the new brake feed pipe ahead of bleeding

I hope to have it in use this week!!
I splashed out and bought some steel and hinges today $$$$$ I'm so excited about welding new steel though!
It's even galv  :joyful: :D

Won't be the joyous occasion your hoping for "welding new steel", if it's galv:eek:
first thing you should do when welding galv is throw it as far down the yard as you can manage.
Evil hateful stuff. Even when you think you got it spotless it still spits and fecks the welder up

Collected 5 extra heifers for the herd from our smallholder friend who's downsizing

Then put his last load of fertiliser on for him. Not a bad view for north Londonshire

Then off to dad's to do his afternoon cattle feed. Back for dinner then getting ready for tomorrow. Guess what we're doing?

Finally, burning the brush from the hedge surgery to clear the way for tomorrow
