I personally would go for a moore, as long as the subsoiler left a level seed bed then why churn it all up again. Plus I would think it would be very versatile so you could dd or go on cultivated ground. Im prob wrong but thats why I would love a moore.

Only pulling subsoiler 10" deep , 4m vaderstad rapid or 6m moore unidrill? Rapid more versatile?

We directly follow a shakerator with a rapid on lighter land (suitable for roots). I'd like to replace it with something that could dd though in the right conditions so I'd say the Moore.

Sumo generally and then lots of weather, then press then drill then roll or shakerate then lots of weather, then 2 x press then drill then roll.

Hoping the tillage radish cover crop trial is going to do all that for me though.

Maybe a subsoiler would be better than a curved tine cultivator.

Yes thats the other option to be thought about - something like a Grassland subsoiler that disturbs very little then drill with a disc drill after some weather on the soil. Although I think the heavier soils would benefit from a quick pass with a rake or dynadrive type thing just to create about 1/2 inch of loose soil.
