Still waiting.

So with all the talk of impending doom for having the temerity to leave I see in the Times today the deficit hits a new low as tax receipts are higher than forecast. Also I see that more people are employed in the "city" than a year ago. Why has it all not imploded.
The reason is some people love bad news especially if they voted remain. The truth is nothing much will change as economies are highly linked and it hurts everyone to hurt one.
We have nothing to lose but the chains.

Nothing has changed. You are still in the EU, and the SM and the CU.
Tories still infighting and backstabbing.
Nothing changed.
Was there a referendum on something or other that the fuss is about?

Agreed but you surely must admit the scaremongering that took place about what would happen the moment we voted leave has not transpired. Be fair...

As FDR said at his inaugural address "The Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself "
He was talking specifically about the USA,and trying to get their economy moving again after the Wall street crash, and the depression of the late 20s,30s.Similar to quantative easing, although it was not called that at the time. You could equate it to the post 2008 measures,in that they had little or no other choice at the time. There turned out to be plenty to fear afterwards, with the rise of Natzism and WW2.

have you not been claiming all the banks were leaving already? why do you hate the uk so much? after all the irish farming sector relies very heavily on the uk, you should be hoping with every bone in your body that your british customers have lots of cash to buy your products

As I have said before, not everything is about money. I can't speak for ash but I have wondered myself as to the unpopularity of the uk and in my opinion, it can be summed up,in one word.
Supercilious - if it can be used for a nation as opposed to an individual ?

Not sure the UK can be considered that, but maybe those remain supporters who called leave voters thick and unitelligent are showing signs of thinking they know better, and of course one mr juncker who KNOWS we will regret leaving could be accused of the same

But you know even that was a selective quote. He said the EU will regret the UK leaving and that the UK would too. It's not the same thing

they should of thought about that before the vote and addressed the concerns that camoron [supposedly] took to them instead of sending him home with a bag of sweets and a flea in his ear
no good moaning on about regrets now
they don't work anyway Robby said so

I suspect Mr Junker thinks the eu will be better without the uk, and he's just being polite.

Fine. I have no problem with eigher.
I would rather be a citizen of USA than an independent Alaska. What about you?
maybe, but the alsaka's not the fifth biggest economy in the wolrd, on the other hand how much oil do they have per head of population? so perhaps they could do ok. I have no problem at all with those that want a US of E, if we had a vote in the uk and thats the way it went then fair enough thats democracy, I dont dislike europe at all, in fact if I had to chose another country to live in it would be France without doubt, I just dont believe that the 28 current countries could become one, at least for a good few generations, maybe the northern states yes. If it happened then some serious changes would be needed to how its run, but that is possible, after all look at most domestic politics in most countries, plenty of room for improvement, all that said I still dont like the way we( all of europe) are being slipped slowly towards it, let them be honest and say thats what they want and how they believe it could happen and give all the people a real vote one way or another, then the losers shut up and move forward together for good or bad
