Utter nonsense. Nothing to gain from increased trade with the rest of the world. You have utterly no evidence to support such a claim.
I am not so sure. A repenting sinner is all the more loved returning to the fold.I actually think they would welcome us back for a number of reasons.Mainland Europe wasn't too keen to let the angry isle in, in the first place. I find it beyond comprehension they will get a second chance after this mess.
but we would have to take the euro and cant see that being popular with votersI am not so sure. A repenting sinner is all the more loved returning to the fold.I actually think they would welcome us back for a number of reasons.
1st It would send the strongest message to any other country thinking of going alone and not toeing the party line .If the big old UK can't do without the EU then no one else has a chance.
2nd What ever is said our contributions matter.
3rd It may well be hard for the UK economy to go it alone but in doing so there will be unwelcome repercussions for some EU business as well.
Germany in particular liked having the UK on board as in most economic policies there was agreement whereas France and the southern EU countries often took an opposite view.
Maybe the rebate would go and in return a brake on immigration would be accepted but I honestly think we would only have to knock once to be admitted.
but we would have to take the euro and cant see that being popular with voters
such as? you cant keep going on about having a referendum with this assumption you'd sail through without telling us all how you would go about itThe people I should think.
the trouble for remain would be all the tall tales they told about immediate diaster didnt come true and now of course the truth about the EU army and more importantly the US of E are out in the open, that one is the killer for the remain side and they know it, bring it on I say and let the people give a clear mandateThe people I should think.
What like those tales of another 350 million a week for the NHS .the trouble for remain would be all the tall tales they told about immediate diaster didnt come true and now of course the truth about the EU army and more importantly the US of E are out in the open, that one is the killer for the remain side and they know it, bring it on I say and let the people give a clear mandate
They said it would happen the day after the vote, it hasnt, and as we havent left yet and made the savings it hasnt yet been possible to use the money for the NHS, I dont think many will vote to stay in if its the route to a single state which at least has been admitted as the ultimate aim, I am more than happy to give the uk and all the other members the vote to decide if thats what all countries want, its very telling that fans of the EU arent keen to allow that to happen, I have said before if we have a vote on that and it is in support I would be unhappy but accept it as a democratic vote, will the remain side if they lose ?AgainWhat like those tales of another 350 million a week for the NHS .
We have not left yet!
Plenty more like you aswellI voted Remain first time, soft Remain as it were. If they call another one I'll vote leave. It's not on having another vote just because the losing side didn't like the result. Same goes for Scotland imo.
Plenty more like you aswell
So go for it then. Let the referendum happen. You’re gonna win hands down. Right
I'm sure the final deal will be put to the public no politician will want ownership better to pass the buckI reckon we should have a referendum on the deal we get from the Eu or no deal wto brexit, that would be the most productive use of another vote.
