The survey revealed that 71pc of Western Division landholders said “neighbours and other landholders” were the main source for changes they made on their property.

“I think that is right, we are pretty isolated but resilient out here and often we will look locally for what things are going on and what works on your property, and that is a smart thing to do. Their (neighbours) views are extremely important, it is important to take into account what they are doing and put that in the mix of information.”

2,4D, Glyphosate, MCPA, Fluroxpyr (Starane) will all control it at seedling stage. For the safety of your clover though, I guess MCPA is probably your safest bet but not ideal.

Thanks Cornish l,ve been trawling the web a bit and 2,4DB seems to be more clover friendly than 2,4D its also twice the price.
Is there much difference.
Also on this forum lvd seen triad (2,4DB) and Triad( Tribenuron - methyl ) is a safe mix on clover .I,ve seen T m is mixed with Glyphosate to get rid of thorn apple so thought it might be a good mix to try but l can't see a Tribenuron-methly product here in Oz.
Sorry Roy hijacking your thread, but i am drinking a beer Peroni, and thinking about going in the pool but its bloody hot out there. 40 oc

No, haven’t seen Tribenuron here. Used to use it a fair bit in the UK. Could try a tiny, tiny amount of Metsulfuron perhaps? But anymore than a tiny tiny amount and it’ll knock you clover about a fair bit.

Yes, 2,4DB is safer on the clover, but it’s also a bit safer on the weeds as well. Consider mixing 2,4DB and 2,4D together at lower rates. This was often used on clover in the UK from memory.

43 here at the moment! Beer and straight into the paddling pool when I get home!!!!!

Sorghum hanging on ok but has lost a lot of yield potential due to flowering / grain fill coinciding with a couple of extreme heat events. This is more to do with heat than moisture . . .

Planted some of the Sorghum in a "skip row" configuration, same as the cotton, just to see if there was any penalty in a good year, or any advantage if the season turned to sh!t :)
