Touch wood, we have never ever foot bathed a cow here either.........don't get me wrong we have a few foot problems, but I deal with those via the foot crush........are you guys really sure that foot bathing really really helps the cows with amazing results?.....or does it just make the dairy person feel better that they have done something constructive?.
Is it the reps selling the chemicals or adverts telling folks to crack on with the foot bath?

I don't mean to create an argument or criticise somebody else's way of farming, just an observation

A nice steep foot angle, regular foot trimming, good slurry scraping might help?

I didn't footbath for 6months in 2015,it's taken 3 years to get them somewhere near right,I only do it because of dermi,I don't get round my feet as much as I like, currently doing 50/month but not enough.

I'm mega fussy about scraping can't ever miss any.

Do you have dermi? We never footbathed either but we're going to have to start now we've got it, at the end of the day all your doing is disinfecting there feet as far as I'm aware. Just another job/cost. If you haven't got dermi or a foul problem I wouldn't bother
