Its a dirty dusty job driving the 950, but there is something very satisfying about combining, and I like doing it. Although she isn't that fast, I'm not standing waiting on a contractor, watching all the good days pass, to have him arrive early in the morning or late at night. I can cut 5-6 acres per day with no problem, and give the old girl plenty of time to put it in the tank, not on the ground. If there is no panic you can also do 3-4 acres in the middle of the day while the crop is at its driest. Having a combine of your own to me is a win win situation.
