lambs lame ?

Few lambs going lame .
When catch them all clear between hoves no sores no rot nothing ?
Joints all flex and ok .
Spray purple spray incase .
No thorns
Not broken
Funny ones ?

Seen the worse scald we have had for several years but also ,like you,some going lame with nothing showing in the hoof.Think we will have another draw ,walk them through a footbath at the same time and probably inject an antibiotic to the ones that don't improve.Will use something like Alamycin so only a 9 day retention and not do the ones that are of marketable weight.

If worrying you, put them through a footbath of Formalin.

It's cheap, and effective.

I got slated heavily for saying “cheap and effective” a few weeks ago....

I would say possibly codd? None of the hooves are erupting at the top? I would try jabbing 2/3 with betamox la and 2/3 with alamycin la, Mark them differently obviously so you know which ones are done with what. If betamox clears it but alamycin doesn’t then it’s codd usually.
