Apparently Angus Cereals have gone today according to Twitter. 70 members, 20,000 tonnes and they’d all paid £60/t to get into it in the first place.
It says so on their website, looks like the openfield financial services director sits on their board plus their head of storage is listed on their key contacts page. Must have some link up with storage or something.Sorry to see that.
Innocent question- in partnership with Openfield?

We had a letter from Openfield a couple of months ago basically begging us to use them for all our business. We don't even sell to them but the context of the letter was that of a worried company.
Yes, the begging letter from Openfield wasn’t their finest moment. Would have been so much more positive to send a letter highlighting all the advantages they have and detail why they can give growers/members better returns than other merchants.
My experience with openfield in Scotland was not great!Sorry to see that.

Somebody with no brain must of come up with that begging letter idea as its was extremely poor. I wouldn't dare use them now just in case something does happen. They ought to send another letter out retracting that one and saying the person who did it has been removed from their job. I can't recall whether it was signed by a senior person or not so I'll have to find it out and report back.

Openfield had a torrid time with another store in Scotland a few years ago. The manager went to Frontier quickly followed by the store’s marketing. Which one was that?

So will it be better for Trinity Grain in your patch now?
Never heard of them!
