Which concrete mix

I want to concrete a base for a shipping container 9 metres by 2.4 metres to sit on. Container would be storing 16 tonnes water in tanks plus basic container weight.
It would be sited in the yard which already has a hard base. What mix would I need to order and what depth concrete would I need? Thanks in anticipation.

RC40 grade mix poured at least 6" deep, with A252 mesh should see you.

You could skimp and go 4" and lower gauge mesh (A193), but for the limited cost increase I would go for something a bit deeper and stronger.

That's a strong mix for something which isn't going to be moving. Would say you could get away with a C30 mix on a hard standing yard

Could I get away with the C30 mix and 5" thick with no steel?

Really depends on the situation, if there is no traffic then you don't need as strong a mix.

Order your concrete through a firm with volumetric wagons, that way you can decide when they turn up!
