Hey there case 290
Where can you find professionals for £15 hour, I pay full time blokes more then that!!
Are there those about who will erect legs and lid for as low as £1 per ‘2. Will they net and hand rail? All rams etc. I’d be suspicious that someone so cheap is ‘proper’. Might just be that jobs worth more in the south.
Alll the best

i would have thought shed errectors would aim to set out and dig posts on day 1,
finalise and concrete on day 2. (all subject to levelish site)

2 days to frame and purlin it?
2 days to roof it?
a day to gutter and panel it?
perhaps allow for an extra day for anything not running bang on time?

so all in 8 days on site with 2 men. £2400
a digger for 2 days £200
telehandler + basket for 6 days £600
cherry picker for 6 days £300

concrete 16 posts? (10 + 6 gable) 1 cube or 0.75 cube? 12cube*80 = £960

roughly £5k I would think?
or maybe 6k 2k for founds + 4k erecting?

Yep that’s about it but missed net and handrail up and down but that’s not a big job tho Waiting for stuff to turn up ect. Panels & gutter down pipes be impressed to do in one day you’ve missed side rails & clading and grouting posts in. footings 2 days there will be lots of waiting around if you spread it over 2 days. Look your loader hire cherry picker is to expensive. anybody any good would have all there own kit. And Caravan on site. All ways get somebody recommended or ask for a reference

was just thinking what folk would allow for in the job, yes they own equipment but still put a price in for using it?

I agree about footings, was trying to think how long it would take to dig them out could be tight if concrete already ordered for say 2pm?

how do errectors pass roof sheets up with a net under?
I have only ever done it by having them on man basket directly where you are working.

seems a job carrying them up from the gutter?

Wouldn’t be able to say but I used a 8t digger 90% time and it doesn’t take long at all, but if it’s a little 2.5-3t yes take ages. But should still be fine. But bigger digger really comes in when it needs swinging in cuz site not suitable for lorry . Yes still need price in for own loader but you don’t get stung for unforeseen delays. Worked well and biggest thing I used to think was all staf new the loader same controls ect.

does anyone have a larger 360 say 13ton with a set of tines on for lifting stuff in as these sites are sometimes not the best for telehandlers (or lorry access)

fancying a set for ours but cant find any and don't know how handy they'll be, they are always bent second hand as if they've had some abuse?

Brightwells machinery auction near Hereford on Friday had several sets entered. Maybe some in next months sale.

whats a rough price for a 40 x 20 fully clad in tin, 1 personnel 1 roller door to erect?

I was thinking:
1 day mark out £350
+ conc 9 * 0.6 = 3.6 cube so basically going to be £500 in conc?

day 1 frame + purlins
day 2 1/2 roof
day 3 1/2 roof
day 4 1/2 cladding
day 5 1/2 cladding
day 6 doors guttering etc? (assuming I have over estimated time on other days)

so im thinking it would be £1800 man time
£800 cherry picker and telehandler?

all in £3450 so quotes would be £4k ish?
have no idea how long it will take them to do it really?

also any dealings with A and H structures? seem fast to send bolts any way?

Neighbour had a 100x40, box profile sides/roof put up a month ago. In and out in 3 days for £2600. Telehandler hired in that price also. Two man job.

I am surrounded by steel companies and erectors.
