Getting less pleasant .....

To be fair, this site has far more going for it than the ones who claim otherwise would like to portray, and I personally feel it is a great place to interact / learn / challenge and yes, sometimes agree to disagree due to a stalemate potential in a thread etc.

Life is no different from that perspective imho, and yes some comments are a little more to the point etc, but hey - that's life unfortunately. If it is not to ones liking - simply pass the post by and select which ones to interact with..

Well. I'm still here @silverfox . It's just the desire to post gets less as time goes on. The light touch moderating isn't really working any more I don't think, unless you mention a certain subject, when it turns to heavy handed moderating.
I'm bored of the endless farmer bashing threads, if you don't like it find another job , whinging poms, and Brexit comments.
In short, it's not the same forum I joined 4 years ago.
Really? Your posting less! Must have been wild before.

I think behaviour by a certain member towards silverfox is awful. Shows his true character though and by mods leaving it and not deleting it leaves it for everyone to see what he's like.

There are other options if people don't like it here. Noticed recently a lot of them drifting back despite saying they wouldn't contribute anymore.

Sometimes it can get heated on here & name calling just isn't on, but it's good that so many of us are passionate about what we do. We have to remember that we don't know what another person is going through when they write a negative post.
Perhaps we all need to be more tolerant, more happy faces:D:D:D:cool:(y)

I have a few off farm roles that generally require me to be quite diplomatic, even when my personal opinion is very different.
I also work with family members.... this also requires some serious diplomacy (I doubt I need to elaborate!)

Fortunately even something that really winds me up tends to wash over in 24hrs..... usually destroying a cake in the mean time helps.... or just a bar of cooking chocolate like tonight :hungry::LOL:
The cake is probably just covering the cracks where the politeness is chipping me away inside :LOL:

In all seriousness my partner is a GP and she often has had a day that puts my "British politeness slowing killing me" firmly in persepetive.
are you going through the professions one at a time :D

Havent been a member for long but its getting more of a farming forum where you can get good info rather than a pat on the back club . Debate is great and although a thick skin is needed at times its good that bullsh#t comments get challenged.
yep don't see a problem, if someone says something you don't like just ignore it and look at another thread till you calm down, though when they go on about it for a fortnight just trying to wind you up and troll you it can be hilarious :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I find the forum a great leveller those that are used to getting their voice heard above everyone else can speak no louder than anyone else on here, it gives the quiet ones a chance and that is something they don't like everyone's voice is at the same volume on here

Farming alone can't support my cake habit :D
At least you can get your cholesterol checked regularly !
Especially after the whole bar of cooking chocolate . Let’s hope it wasn’t exlax.
( showing my age now. Ex lax was a laxative that looked like a bar of chocolate , and we used to think it funny to pinch a bit out of the cupboard and offer it to our mates at school)

I really hope that wasn't the reason the local shop wasn't selling it off cheap :eek::LOL:
