Needing new bush/bushes for the centre pin on a 3cyl 35 front axel. Having looked for them there appears to be the option of two short bushes or one long one. Anybody got any advice on what I should be getting?

I used this one on mine

I stuck it in a lathe and turned a V shaped groove mid length on the inner side of the bush, pressed it into the axle and then drilled through (hole to correspond with the V groove) tapped the hole and put a grease nipple in, grease it every so often. Worked well and simple to do.
Surely easier to squirt oil down the centre of the pin? Oil hole in it to lube the bush

You only need one short bush, as was fitted in the factory. A long bush or two short ones doesn't allow the beam to twist. Instead it tries to twist the pivot pin which will eventually break and if you're unlucky damage the radiator at the same time.

Replace the long bolts in the end of the radius arms, they wear and the axle tends to lean rearwards upsetting the caster angle of the steering making it harder to steer.
