Swallows 2018

Not very good at describing calls but if you've ever flushed a snipe in daylight, they make a similar but bit different,, call at night. I've never heard them flighting over the buildings, only out in the fields. We'vd had some odd calls , not heard before, and I'm pretty good on birds, about a month ago, in the trees around the buildings at night. I think the timing may be wrong but at the time I wondered it it was young owls.certainly different. I tried to record it on my phone but the mike wasnt good enough. I used to do a lot of bird song recording with a portable cassette recorder but I havnt seen anything suitable .. or affordable! ..in the shops. Any ideas?
