MF35 + Foster D2P????

Anyone know if this would work as a combination? Anyone tried? IT has pto driven hydraulic pump but I'm sure I read somewhere 45hp for the foster. If not this, then what? I would love a little back actor I can use for light drainage duties, digging footings, laying drains etc. Anyone?

Foster will dig slower with less power.

I think I saw siromer digger on ebay. Smaller still.
Mini digger hire is cheap if ypu can save up your jobs.

Might be a tad heavy on the back of a 35
Powering it would be no problem.

I would agree, too heavy for a 35 I would think. Digger might stay on the ground and the front wheels will come up!!

I forget what the little McConnell is called, its the one that the legs fold up facing the sky?
35 will need careful maneuvering with a Foster on the back, you only have two reverse gears, dead fast and dead slow.

Had a McConnel S/12 digger on a 135 once, it was a struggle to keep the front end on the ground. I reckon a Foster would be a bit heavier.

I tried this combination years ago, the Foster was very heavy on the 35 and you would need a loader or weight on the front,
I ended up getting a old Major for the Foster. I later had a steelfab/hornodraulic on International B275 with a loader on the front this worked well.

We used to have one on a 35 it needed the mil master front loader to balance it power wise you,d hear the engine note change when a ram was presurised at the end of the stroke the proper Foster sub frame was an absolute must.

Thanks everyone for the really helpful comments. I'll try and find a nice ditch king, I think. I need to get a front weight carrier and weights for it anyway because I use it for moving ibc's filled with apple pulp on a regular basis and whilst it's ok to use my business partner as ballast on private land I'm told "That's not acceptable beahaviour on the highway, Sir!".

We put a foster on the back of the old international 956 when we dig some narrow ditches we want to look neat. Might be a bit much for a 35!
The pump broke years ago and the digger now plumbs straight into the tractor.

How much would a Foster or McConnel cost in straight order? How about an elderly MF 50B or similar?

50B around 2k - 3k here depending on the lingth of time its been standing.
Its the upkeep of the 50b that might be the downside?

McConnell about 1000 to 1500 click
But to be honest I'm not sure what there are capable off?

We use our Foster on a MF 250. Handles it fine but tractor does have a loader on.

I used a Twose back actor on a Universal 445DT for years. Similar size to a 135? No problems - in fact nice light steering! (It was 4 wheel drive & had a loader)
