Kubota m7 opinions

We have put 4400hours on our m7s had no major issues to speek of. Fuel is about the same as other tractors we have used. Ad blue use is non existent we have only got m7s with ad blue purchased a 1000l Ibc on delivery and have 300l left. Only gripe is the joystick not responsive enough kvt.

Trying one soon as they look good. Had a drive at a demo day just after they were launched but will be trying one on farm. Anybody got one with a loader on?

Tried one with a Kubota loader. The loader was not really that good, bit clunky and numb. Tractor was ok, stupid internal latch to open the door required two hands/movements. The steps also tended to catch my shins.

Agreed, tried the 7172 kvt, around the yard only, and the joystick is more responsive. It may be a little smoother and quieter too.

Wouldn't mind trying a Kubota to see what the M7002 is like though cant see us moving far from Claas. We get on well with our Kubota salesman though and the father of a friend of mine has just bought one so might go have a play on it sometime and see what his thoughts are so never say never.

allegedly a six cylinder under development as we speak, about 2 years away, im told by a kubota dealer, wait and see !!
They already had a go with sixes back in the day, developed with the help of Fiat. Found in certain of their smaller tractors and even mini diggers. Renown for their thirst rather than thrift.

I think they will keep tweaking the existing big 4 pot, they hinted as much when they launched the M7 series. There’s plenty more power that they can reliably extract from 6 litres swept volume. There was rumour back when they launched these tractors that 6 pots were on the drawing board. However in 2+ years they’ve just minorly tweaked (or fixed the original faults) of the M7001 series machines.

A 6-pot would be an ag industry only special for them, all their other markets they supply engines into are looking for compact 4-pot units so they couldn’t defray development and tooling costs and it would be all in bet for them - probably on a much larger series chassis tractor. Can’t see it happening myself.
