did they allow straight lengths of pipe before the inlet side of the meter with no valves or elbows etc, this is another favourite of our inspector!!

Yorkshire do a fitting, think it's a yp29r female thread on the end rather than the branch. The pipe is only 28mm so will probably not get the probes into the branch of the tee without a close nipple and socket

What heat ate you getting out from it?

How much were you told you would use?

What size boiler, many would be very happy spending £40 a week on fuel!

It heats the hot water and central heating .. it's on for 5 hours a day that's £160 a month on wood pellets
I have a 4 bed house so.not massive .. I also have solar panels and we also have a log burner ... so have logs and coal too ...
They told me I would half my oil bill which was £1200 a year ...
I don't get the payment back as it.was done on a scheme ...

Thank you

It was for a low income where they put the boiler in and they get the rhi for 7 years then after that you get the rhi ...

No they didn't take the old boiler I had to do that
It's breaking me trying to heat the house.now... a 10kg bag of pellets is £3.85 and I go through 15 bags a week
I just wondered if I could use anything cheaper like shaving which I can buy by the tonne at a third of the price

Yes I was thinking the same ... just had a very stressful year and didn't want anymore hassle ...

I didn't think it would be easy to use something else ... that would be too easy haha thank you

Have you space to buy the pellets in bulk and bag them yourself?
I have a pellet bag for sale will hold 4 ton
Brings the cost down to about 220 a ton ( i think, not ordered any recently)

Yes I have the space but not the money in one hit ... I've got no heating or hot water at the moment due no money and it's at freezing point tonight ... I never thought it would be so expensive to run ... it costs a fortune

if it is domestic install sounds like you have been fleeced... there is no rhi after 7 years, pellets are more expensive to run than oil or gas.

I dont reckon bulk pellets are worth it for most domestic users, round here minimum orders are usually more than 4T and if the store isnt good enough they will get damp and degrade. I have never found the bulk saving to be more than £20/tonne and bagging a tonne is a lot of work for £20
