As I said before a tremendous show well run, plenty to see and no need for jackets etc. Managed to get on TFF stand and see a few of you there. Couldn’t believe seeing a few folk in wellies?? No idea what that was all about. We head for home tomorrow bit of a trip for s as @Andrew1983 says and a fair old cost £400 plus drinks and food. Even managed a wee sneak look into motorsport show tonight.

A good show I thought really well organised.

Don’t see what it matters to anyone how much the stands cost. If it costs 50p or 200k they have budgets to cover this. It all comes out of profits so it’s paid for by the end user anyways...

Thought it was a big improvement on Peterborough, had a really good day. Highlights would be rc baker tanker, unimog, hm trailers bowser.

What hm trailers were there!!!
They actually managed to make something on time to exhibit? I am truly amazed. Better than the 4 month they missed my delivery date by then.

Brilliant show I thought, was in 2 minds before I went, but I think it will be successful in future,NEC will learn from this year as will all the exhibitors. At least some of the big players will be there next year im sure, certainly the stands would have cost more than Peterborough but the total cost may not have been so much more,no need for large tents and no cleaning of machines, maybe less travelling cos its central and hotels seemed cheaper.McHale told me their stand was around £120k,and they almost had a hall of their own.Had the feel of Smithfield at Earls Court before it went downhill.I cant see many negatives at all,no parking /traffic issues and an airport and railway station on site.Schoffel missed a trick, would have sold a lot of gillets im sure;)

The only thing that baffled me was armatrac, how can they justify one of the biggest stands there yet John Deere, CNH, Massey and so on can’t? The stand was so big it seemed a bit silly to be honest.

Jd and NH were too cocky to be there , that will eventually come back to haunt them , I'm looking forward to the latest tractor sales figures , I think 17 figures will be released shortly , should make interesting reading .

Id say the generation below me in a lot of cases have no idea what the NEC is all about & poss not there fault.
we also seen folks walking with wellies on was rather funny hehee
How long is it seen the UK's premier Motorshow used to be there? chrikey 15years easily ?
id been a couple of times to that & boy that was impressive & also a couple of other things there & knew all about the place

Do you seriously think that attending a show makes a huge difference to their sales levels??
Yes over time , for example I went to our biggest show the ploughing match in 1994 , I was buying a new tanker , I met the dealer who sold the brand I wanted and he offered me a demo of a Valtra , that was my first look at Valtra , I was impressed by the demo and bought a 6400 and I have since given that dealer over €2 million of business , if he hadn't been there at that show I probably would never have dealt with him as he is 50 miles from me . Shows do pay .

Maybe, but one show wont make a difference and they'll all be back next year.

Armatrac are maybe aiming for global tractor monopoly so thought as the show was at a new venue they better get in there first and bag a big stand. It’s working as it’s got folks talking....
