Tonights vote

I just done a deal with the government, i had information that no deal on their side was not an option and settled for 8 times their original offer , no deal was an option for me and that made my negotiating very powerful for me, many do not understand this concept and get screwed over.

it's a stepping stone to asking the House if they would vote in favour of asking the EU for an extension to Article 50

this is one of the most moronic posts I've seen, even for you

as bobk pointed out a few weeks ago, the pound has been rallying against the euro. The last I looked it was 1.17, yesterday it was 1.15

if No-Deal happens the pound will crash below the Euro

if Art 50 is revoked the pound will soar like an eagle, whether it gets back to pre-referendum level of 1.30 is questionable but it will most certainly most certainly soar

the financial markets are clearly expecting an Article 50 extension

- Bomber

As exporters we want the £ to drop .. it's only importers that want the £ to increase.

What do you think are doing on a business forum which relies on the £ dropping to make our products rise in value ?

You are the moron.

We import more than we export, so as the pound drops the country loses.
You possibly forget the 60-70s when the pound dropped daily and the Labour government said this is good as exports are better priced.
Meanwhile those silly f******s the germans let the mark grow.
Who was the winner?
How many people are moaning about electricity prices rising.
A falling pound may sound good , but as soon as you look at those sunny uplands you get a good kisk up the a**e

The German Mark doesn't exist any more .. Germany's exports were limited by the Mark .. hence the creation of the Euro .. hence German exports are no longer limited by a strong currency.

Perhaps rather than expecting others to create goods and services on the cheap to import .. maybe it's about time the UK made goods and services ..

Then fluctuations in the currency wouldn't matter at all.

But I guess that doesn't fit your agenda .

Once upon a time we had an empire, the only real reason for this empire was the fact they bought our goods and we sold them our manufacture.
Sadly we no longer have a client state/ group who never failingly buy the shite our factories made. In fact India our great partner in production and manufacture actually bought 3 times as many American built vehicles as British During the last 50 years of our Empire.
Countries sell product on quality not price hence the Germans outsold us over the last 100 years consistently followed by the Americans when they learnt to make things. Solely because theirs worked and ours did not.
We will only sell product when we learn how to make it, not how cheap we can make it.

Of course people are employed in UK manufacturing today .. some Leaders of some UK industries are not from the UK, the workers are though.

The problem you have is you are generalising .. and like all generalisations they are not 100% correct.

For example the UK designed the ARM microchips which were used in most if not all mobile phones worldwide. The UK DOES create world beating products .. it's just we have a large number of people actively working against everyone else, most of them down London.

Hence Brexit.

Yes totally agree ARM chips designed in the UK while we are in the EU. Based in Cambridge, nearer I think to London than you
My son works for a huge multi national based in London, they were based here due to the huge talent they found here, bought hundreds of millions of income and thousands of very well paid ( £100k +) not banking jobs here. Just upped sticks for Holland.
And your point is?

The UK peoples create products, goods and services which are world beating .. as they always have done.

You just don't have an argument.

Any company can move where ever it likes when ever it likes. Their loss as they won't get great UK IT workers on their doorstep.

It's 1 17 now , the £ won't crash because the euro is dropping quicker , not only do you know fudge all about farming ..... you know fudge all about anything , on yer bike .

Why do you persist in posting untruths? The euro and dollar generally don't change that much, other than factors like Greece, Trump etc. However, the pound has consistently fallen against it. This is probably more down to the undertow of the banking crises, but the continuing Brexit debacle has now to be the main contributing factor. :scratchhead:

13 ministers abstained...... fudge em off

Well given the rate of resignations over the past year or so I suspect if poor Mrs May does that (fudge 'em off) she might run out of enough MPs to fill those ministerial roles!! Would have to go to the Lords I suppose if that were the case and appoint Ministers from the Upper House.
