Concrete yard - spec and cost

I had the yard redone last August,
We went 200mm concrete with mesh and fibres, had a bloke I know lay it with a drivable laser screed.
Poured it all in one lot, no messing about setting shutters up. Would highly recommend one.

Agreed. Big improvement on laying manually. Just depends on the volume you are laying.

Up to 250 cube a day is standard for one of those machines.

ooooh walking out onto concrete rather than mud that would be nice(y) …We are inside a Countryside Stewardship high water quality priority area (y) Clearly missed the 2019 deadline but applications set to re-open 1st Jan... Anyone been successful with these Water Capital Grants for concrete? How far does £10,000 of concrete go these days?

About 100 cube of concrete I recon and a bit of change left for labour.
Is my math wrong or at 200mm depth that's only 7m square? the tight gits  I could find home for at least 1000cube and that's before doing the lane... Still it would be better than nothing I suppose... I read there is no limit as part of a new CSS application... but ours still has a year to run

Your maths are wrong! 7m square by 200mm would need 1.4 cube of concrete

We've had some on the water capital as a standalone and then as part of Mid Tier. Standard costs which was pretty much what it cost. Only available in target areas and needs Catchment Sensitive Farming Officer (CSFO) endorsement.
Water capital grant isnt it. Im not 100% sure but its all to do with water run off
There are grants available for concreting depending on location.

drop me an email and I will be able to look into this:
