Was quoted £149 for a 15ME confectionary blend delivered in attics. Or £96 for bread at 68-70%dm. Not a lot in it, bread has been cooked and higher protein. The last was £160 up here it would be ok at £140

must be some confidence that we will come out now looking at store prices , a corbyn or coalition government could scupper that , as it will beat least another 12month delay by the time we get another referendum and dust settlesYes 100% correct. We’ve had around 6 crunch dates where we were supposed to be coming out every time causing slaughterhouses to slow down so they weren’t left with meat subject to tariffs and general uncertainty.
Carcass splitting rules...what a bloody farce that isdid it ? sheep were at least 30% undervalued since February and still are . it also delayed the carcass splitting rules being lifted , and trading uncertainty is hurting us going forward . at least if we were out we could be looking elsewhere to make up shortfall in trade .Bring on an election either way we can plan for future
Stores prices are fixed by farmers who have broken calculaters and lots of grass and try to outbid each other...used to do it myself but never made any moneymust be some confidence that we will come out now looking at store prices , a corbyn or coalition government could scupper that , as it will beat least another 12month delay by the time we get another referendum and dust settles
I think the key is to feed them on something cheap and have lots of themStores prices are fixed by farmers who have broken calculaters and lots of grass and try to outbid each other...used to do it myself but never made any money
yes cost processor £1-2 devalues lamb by 25% , licenced rip-off , all meat sold for same price .Carcass splitting rules...what a bloody farce that is
Yes it did. Every time the government has lost a vote and brexit kicked down the road the sheep job jumps and vice versa. Exchange rate does the same thing and would be linked to lamb trade. Store cattle strenghtened when boris said we were leaving on oct 31st but has weakened with the reality that we wouldnt be. If boris wins the election but needs the brexit party to form a government the sheep job will nosedive again because the brexit party will force boris towards a harder brexit.did it ? sheep were at least 30% undervalued since February and still are . it also delayed the carcass splitting rules being lifted , and trading uncertainty is hurting us going forward . at least if we were out we could be looking elsewhere to make up shortfall in trade .Bring on an election either way we can plan for future
I think it’s more the case that the sheep job has been depressed near the crunch dates as opposed to any real lifts.Yes it did. Well we agree on something...very sluggish tradeThis weeks sedgemoor report is being written/ posted by fellow TFF's @farmerclare and @Henarar.
Take it away
( and we don't want any negative rubbish like the store cattle in the first half of the sale were suffering from rugby depression and were down a good £100 head on the week either )
