Been working on the other pc window 10 then dinner time came so left the office pc open for later hour later it would not not accept the password so I cannot re enter it ( Window 10 again) any one on here had this before ?.

Mine is a PIN number now. Not a password.

Have you tried a reboot?

Yes switched of but no then switched from mains.
no. left the thing switched off and now watching Rugby.

Been lots of issues reported since the latest W10 "update" I believe.... Not the first time

done an update other night took an hour. when finished had no sound on laptop it wouldn't upload new sound drivers so uninstalled update and laptop is fine

What a load of shite W10 is.... and I am about to jump into the cesspool, as my W7 PC is now "out of date"...

The Chromebook is so much easier.

I believe mine gives the option of either a password or a pin (which I don't know) I only discovered this after spending 10minutes cursing my children who had been messing with it when my password wouldn't work and then noticed it was asking for a PIN not a password... there is something on the screen you can click to switch back to password....

I held off as long as I could but having been using 10 for a while I now find it much faster and more stable than any windows before it.

If you go to the advance options of W10 update, you can set it up to delay feature updates. I have all my machines set to delay feature updates for 6 months and keep bang up to date on security. This buys me 6 months time to allow bugs in new updates to get ironed out.

Type netplwiz into the search box
You can even tick the box to say 'don't use a password'

Windows 10 feels a like more lightweight than Windows 7. Certainly looks out for itself more and is easier to the novice or occasional user I would say
