I was thinking that if they'd not had swine flu and killed all the pigs if this would have happened. If the Chinese had stuck to eating beef and lamb the world might not be in this catastrophic situation we are now in

You've changed your tune, when I said the other day they would pull beef you said ,and I quote "any talk of a cut in beef price is utter rubbish"
Trade would be similar to last week. Clean spiked in the middle which I couldn't understand then eased a bit. More stock with 160 bulls, 165 clean and 20 cows. Considering that there was a buyer or two absent due to their age etc not a bad resultAnybody got cattle prices for York
Saw two markets on AHDB one was down in numbers sold by 96.5% and the other 95.2% a livestock box full in each one. Terms offered were obviously rejected. Agree that there is no point in allowing a handful of buyers in to **** us about.Yep markets were a closed shop today.
If the vendors are not allowed in there is no point having the markets.
Don’t worry I had already thought the same!?I didn't want to post the same ,
You know how to kick a man when he's down ?
I said to my brother this morning, that its like a no deal brexit
Yes I am conscious that whilst moaning about sheep prices there’s bigger problems ahead.Come to conclusion there are more important things. Mrs works in NHS and I think the ess h I t is about to hit the fan.
They will have when I sell them for £100 a head in a fortnights time ?How did they save you 3k?
Yes I agree, I’m the first to moan about prices, think things are just hitting home a bit with what’s happening.Yes I am conscious that whilst moning about sheep prices there’s bigger problems ahead.
Also many people a lot worse off than us.
Problem is we have always put the business ahead of personal health. Old habits and all that. Sometimes there’s no other option.
Mother auntie and uncle all well over 70 not that fit. Wife’s starting to get in a flap about the kids. Few more people got told to F off than usual todayYes I agree, I’m the first to moan about prices, think things are just hitting home a bit with what’s happening.
A couple of days ago you were saying the sheep trade would be very good due to lack of Numbers etc etc...now you reckon beefs going down as well...I wouldn't be too sure about the beef job either for very long!!
True but what I haven't experienced before is having the chance to sell ewes for £80 and deciding to turn round and take them home on auctioneer's advice!I have seen pens of ewes in the old hereford market selling for a few quid so we have seen it all before and survived
He’s changing his mind more than his knickers atmA couple of days ago you were saying the sheep trade would be very good due to lack of Numbers etc etc...now you reckon beefs going down as well...
What’s the prospect for slaughterhouses staying open on the whole?True but what I haven't experienced before is having the chance to sell ewes for £80 and deciding to turn round and take them home on auctioneer's advice!
I have a feeling the likes of McDonald’s might know what’s coming better than any of us on here. Just the way they closed restaurants first then used up some stock on drive throughs then announced closing tonight. Seems too well prepared to meThink I might risk some cattle tomorrow but hope the fallout from this McDonalds announcement doesn’t depress prices to much.
