I can understand where your coming from, but I still believe Ardern has a credibility issue, while she can do the virtue signalling, talk the talk and do the hugs and be perceived as popular by those outside the country ,she seems to have little understanding in the real world, out on the street or even more concerning on the road beyond the city, in manufacturing, agriculture ,horticulture especially in SME's which are the backbone of the New Zealand economy and employment.
with the way kiwi farmers have given away the low budget low cost knollage to big business , to in brace the USA style of farming , which only makes bankers rich , i would say ardern is no threat to farming .
you need to keep up with the times , i am 90% sure you saw arderns talk the other night , which will very bad news for the kiwi life style . she would not have said the bad news , unless she was certain we were in the sh!t .

Not true, we don't moan about the government, it's incompetent, useless and lacks common sense, if your not prepared to do a job properly, get the feck out of the way and let some else do it.
well thats thats nats all over , look at southland suported the nats for ever , even when the nats put up dogs ,
and as we now know anyone thinking their is health care in southland , is dreaming

the best part is , your blamling ardern , when we now know that new zealands richest man , graeme hart calling the shots .
but it was helen clark who forced the mutli page free trade deal with china on us . and then we had sir john key , who made it so we could not get out of it

I'm not a Labour fan either, certainly didn't vote for them but I think Jacinda Ardern is the only one capable of actually being a leader at the moment. Despite the fact that many people don't agree with her vision, she is as least sticking to what she believes is right, where as the rest just seem to support who ever bungs them enough money.
I don't think Simon Bridges is much use as National leader, a bit surprised he's still there to be honest.
The problem National have is a lot of the things that are seen as a bit crap at the moment became that way on their watch. They need a leader that can reboot the party like Ardern did for Labour.
I don't see anyone doing it at the moment though.
remember the now known graeme hart factor , he is calling the shots

You do know that when I started milking cows back in 1992 that there were several parameters that were blatantly obvious apart from Mc Meekan's "Grass to Milk'?
Primarily to never forget the lessons learnt back in 1953/56, so no Northern hemisphere style of farming, no Holsteins, definitely no MRI's and to only use banks under your terms and last resort......
As for the PM, she just doesn't cut it ,(admittedly the same applies to all the other parties leaders too)needs to be proactive than reactive, but more importantly have a government that can effectively implement policy......not dig herself a bigger hole that she can't get out of...
As for her last performance in Australia, if that's as good as she gets, do us all a favour, don't come back, from what I've seen , that was embarrassing .

If anyone is interested this is the government guidance in NZ for Covid-19 following the level 4 lockdown just imposed. Rather more useful info here than we are getting:

We were issued a message yesterday via text message

That alarm always scars the sh*t out of me, especially if its connected to the car speakers.o_O
Mrs Pom went to work this morning with a letter from her employer saying she's on the approved key worker list. There's some thought that there will be the odd checkpoint out there.:nailbiting:

Ironically Sasquatch Provincial Park was somewhere where I was supposed to be going/staying...?
Rather than Kia kaha, don't be a bijzonder klootzak might be a bit more PC, eh..?

All most as clear as mud with regard to primary industry/agriculture.
I've got stock that need to be checked/feed out every second day and if questioned will automatically invoke the Animal Welfare Act 1999.
That said ,it's a 18 km round trip without any human interaction/ involvement.

You should see our (lack of) clear guidance then! For example: We've got the PM saying there is plenty of ppe for the NHS and health secretary admitting they are struggling with supplies!
