Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

In Llandudno they had a pile of mine waste they wanted to build a car park on in 1987
the had to do an Archeological assessment of the site
started digging and kept digging after moving a lot of waste found the tunnels the miners had dug then found some animal bone tools
after a few years digging they have found miles of tunnels dating back to the bronze age
turns out it was the biggest copper mine dating back 4000 years the foundation or farming in Europe
all rediscovered because we have struck planning rules
staggered Australia does not have effective regulations

Quite cool seeing that on the other side of the world. I've said it before but it's made only a few miles from me and some of my friends would have helped put it together.
Still there are better trailers than them though some of them aren't put together right or straight. Can't believe that there isn't anything similar being made nearer to you already.

oh yeah, there are heaps of local trailer manufacturers here, from the smallest box trailer up to the largest semis, B Doubles or Road Trains. That’s why I was so surprised to see it. I couldn’t believe something like that would be exported so far away or that it would be price competitive with the local stuff.
Never occurred to me that they would even be over here . . .

A bit of role reversal, it is as dry as a witches tit here.

I am carting water to my apple trees in an ibc in a hope of keeping them alive. I have never watered mature apple trees in all my life.

Its dry here now.

Could do with 50 mm. Hopefully get 10 mm tomorrow

Do you have any experience with silaging early Barley.
I have a paddock I sowed on the 20 th March for grazing and grain they sheep have hardly touched and it’s not for off going to head. McLean’s are going to look at silaging it as it might put the head emergence back far enough not to get frosted.

Quite common here to silage barley. Bit different context to you over there though it's usually sown for silage not that there is any difference. I've done it a few times try not to let it get too dry as the heads will go through cattle if it's too dry. Sheep tend to sort it a bit too much if there are heads in it and refuse to eat the straw as it tends to be quite mature by then. Rats love it Not sure if that's any help to you.

It will be fine chopped and in a pit.
