The Drought

Farms in Ceredigion are divided wet and dry land if available. They did that for a reason , we win if its wet we win if its dry
I guess a lot depends on where you set the bar for drought.

If I had a field of grass like than on any type if land I wouldn't be classing what if had as drought conditions. To say that would be a bit in an over dramatic.

Lime King Pete will like this .
What's the difference
Plenty of lime
3 ton of Chicken muck
Only mistake . It's got some intermediate grass in the mix so its messed up the heading dates

finally, its wet, reckon our forage rape grown 4'' in two days ! to be fair, stuff was growing, very very slowly, but if the roots were down, there is moisture, had a look at a patch of rape, sown 5 weeks ago, odd plant come up, now, you can see the stuff coming up in line ! I do wonder, whether weather had more effect, growth was slow during those cold easterly winds, then, bang into a heat wave, which stopped it ! But, feeling a lot happier now !

62mm now in June that will do till winter now. Drains just starting to dampen at the ends

Barley still looks awful as not enough to germinate fully in April/may

We are up to the heady heights of 5mm since the 1st May. It's not pretty. Rushed around drilling AB9 areas on Monday with 20mm forecast for the week. We have had 1mm!
