Prestwick recorded 30.8 C ( 87.5 F ) on Thursday , which seemed to be the hottest spot in Scotland then. Now we are in what threatens to be 48 hrs of rain or more, and only 14 deg C.

The article on the Met Office site , about the West of Scotland climate , mentions 32.2 deg C at both Prestwick and Kilmarnock on 29th July 1948 as temperature extremes , which makes me wonder how near to a June record for the west , Thursday's 30.8 deg C is.

Thursday was hot (for here) at 31 degrees at it's peak at around 3pm and you could see grass wilting on it's feet, but returned to normal when the temperature reduced.
33mm of rain since Friday afternoon, which is more than we'd had since March.
A bit erratic, but all good.
Yes but the perennial question - where is here?
