Or make smaller cows that produce more milk 625kg cows here doing 810kgms per year. With 1.5k per cow space
@dinderleat Mind if I ask what breeding is in those type cows you are milking that is a seriously impressive figure.

Holsteins, Not one sire but always breed for fat, protein and management traits we did try cross breeding with bf nrx srwx and fleckx to much variation Though. Sires we’ve used Bf Quentin, classic, commend, irresistible, trix, pesky, McCormick, Solaris nadal, dancer, padbury, Kodak, Levi, chacal colonial and silver. To be fair to the bf they’ve probably lasted the best of the cross and most are 10-12k litres@dinderleat Mind if I ask what breeding is in those type cows you are milking that is a seriously impressive figure.

nearly finished our change around, all tested clear, just the rest of the dairy to do, and small bunch of hfrs, makes life complicated testing each batch, after all the agro, bet i miss 1 animal, out !! Then, no doubt, there will be some tracers, with what has come in.Clear TB test?
Clear TB test?
Yip, quite a relief.
Anyone want to buy 100 cows?
I've got 150 head of beef roaming as well, I'm quite tempted to cash the lot in while they're in test and prices are high.
This thing has made testing groups of youngstock spread over multiple sites so much easier. I wish I'd bought one years ago when we were on 60day testing.
