@dinderleat Mind if I ask what breeding is in those type cows you are milking that is a seriously impressive figure.
Holsteins, Not one sire but always breed for fat, protein and management traits we did try cross breeding with bf nrx srwx and fleckx to much variation Though. Sires we’ve used Bf Quentin, classic, commend, irresistible, trix, pesky, McCormick, Solaris nadal, dancer, padbury, Kodak, Levi, chacal colonial and silver. To be fair to the bf they’ve probably lasted the best of the cross and most are 10-12k litres

That last one is a nwrx but don’t think she will do another her udder attachment is not the best.

seriously impressive figures, 625kg is small for a holstein, especally a holstein producing those liters

Clear TB test?

Yip, quite a relief.

Anyone want to buy 100 cows?

I've got 150 head of beef roaming as well, I'm quite tempted to cash the lot in while they're in test and prices are high.

This thing has made testing groups of youngstock spread over multiple sites so much easier. I wish I'd bought one years ago when we were on 60day testing.

That’s a relief 😃then.
Get those beefers gone they are absolutely flying at the moment

A cousin of mine has converted from beef to milk, has put in a parlour, and is now building his winter housing. He is going with cubicles and slats, having all ready built 2 huge concrete tanks. Out vet has told him he should be putting in deep bedding cubicles and not concrete and mats/mattresses, I've read a few threads on the matter, with a few concreting the beds and going mats or mattresses and not looking back. Is it something he should into or concrete the beds ?
