Any chance of posting a link or details of your camera please?

Its a vapormatic wireless cab cam. I then have a cab cam wireless receiver in the cab feeding into my Trimble GPS.
I bolted it to a ram mount and fitted it with a deutsch connector. I have several ram mounts and power points on the tractor / various trailers, then it’s a 30second job to move it.

I don't want to read through all that, but did pick this bit out,

(11) No person shall use, or cause or permit to be used, on a road an agricultural, horticultural or forestry implement rigidly, but not permanently, mounted on a wheeled agricultural motor vehicle, agricultural trailer, or agricultural trailed appliance, whether or not part of its weight is supported by one or more of its own wheels if—

(a)the overall width of the vehicle together with the lateral projection of the implement exceeds 2.5m; or

(b)the implement projects more than 1m forwards or rearwards of the vehicle,

so however, that this restriction shall not apply in a case where—

(i)part of the weight of the implement is supported by one or more of its own wheels; and

(ii)the longitudinal axis of the greater part of the implement is capable of articulating in the horizontal plane in relation to the longitudinal axis of the rear portion of the vehicle.

So how do you interpret that ?

I drive so that I can stop within the distance I can see ahead.

Do you drive so that you CAN'T stop within your seeing distance?

That irrelevent is your seeing distance is interrupted by a mower appearing from a hidden gateway.

Blaming the car driver is totally unfair in many such cases.

Im not defending the driving of many people, but no need to test them by using long kit in blind gates

it doens't matter as if a deer jumps out the hedge a foot in front of the car the only way i am not hitting it is if i drive at 2mph everywhere, regardless of the distance i can see.

Same with this the guy maybe could see half a mile in front and the mowers got shoved into the traffic flow a couple of meters in front of the car.

Basically that we’re all breaking the law although I suspect there’s another clause somewhere because none of this legal rubbish is written very sensibly.

Wasn’t there an incident mentioned on TFF some time ago where a car hit the set of weights on front lincs as a tractor pulled out onto a road ?
The tractor driver was prosecuted due to the job they were doing didn’t require the weights to be fitted at that time.

All of these comments suggesting people who have the right of way on the main road should stop when they see a very slow moving vehicle nudging their way out of a field is rather amusing. It is the operator of the vehicle wanting to join the road that has the responsibility of making sure he can see/operate the vehicle in a safe manner. After all when sitting any kind of driving test when joining traffic you will fail for making fellow motorists who have the right of way to alter or make sharp adjustments to their speed or direction.

Well officer, I hit the car head on as it was on my side of the road, and was attached to the front of a tractor coming out of a field !!

Not just you, but I find it a bit worrying that people seem to think it's OK to drive at a speed that won't allow them to stop/avoid a sudden hazard.

Theory test includes hazard perception which covers things like parked cars suddenly opening their doors, pedestrians walking into the road without looking etc. etc. Basically expect the unexpected!

Would you drive down a suburban street where each house has it's own drive and not think that someone might pull out?

Same on a rural road with field gates.

IIRC There are exemptions listed above For ag, but which main rule is that under?

Actually I did a hazard perception test last year for another category and one of the hazards was a tractor pulling out of the field. You could just see a bit of the cab through the trees a couple hundred yards ahead then the bonnet pulling out.
