On top of the tank, well at least it is on an Abbey. Maybe some manufacturers don't fit them.

I've seen over pressure valves as they are standard on all tanks but never seen a over suction valve

I know a chap that put a big anvil in a 110 being towed by an American Ford Ranger. Didn't end well down the 303 but all were ok and no one else involved luckily..... years ago now.

Our nc has 1 just beside pump. Ud hear it suckin air if in thick slurry. Can be a pain but keeps that from happeninI've seen over pressure valves as they are standard on all tanks but never seen a over suction valve

It still shouldn't suck in like that anyway. Did they skimp on steel to keep the weight down? Or was the pump being run flat out instead of fairly gently like they usually recommend?

WTF are you on about? The "accident" was caused by someone driving while unfit to do so! Whether through drink, drugs, alcohol, sleep deprivation or some other controllable factor, it's tantamount to manslaughter imo.
