What cultivator (excluding Top Down types) do you use to "One Pass" cultivate Over wintered stubbles ready for drilling.

I see a large estate near where I live are using an 8mtr wide cultivator to rip up overwintered stubble ready for drilling with their Vaderstaad drill. Up until now they have been using their Top Down, I think they must have at last realised they do not need to use a Top Down on thin Cotswold Brash!!!!
So what cultivator "Make/Model do you use for "One Pass Cultivation" , whether it is newish one or one that is 10yrs + old .
I appreciate that on heavy mans land ,a one pass cultivator may not be practical .

Heavy duty pig tail will work in pretty much any conditions and cheap to buy and run

The driest stuff we have is after a horsch joker back in dry sept, drier than anything stubble sumo or plough which is surprisingly me! Cheers dh

I don't have much choice, 3m sumo has to do all my cults, can be a bit harsh on the stone though.

3m Massey pig tail that must be 50 years old and cost me £80 20 years ago and a Lemken DL120 5 furrow plough that I think dates from 1989 that cost me £1000 again 20 years ago. They still do the job I want and only cost me wearing metal and fuel. I can’t believe what people pay now for a machine that ostensibly does the same job as my old £80 cultivator!

i plough all my overwintered stubbles
its all part of the weed control & the fact there rather tight
Plough is king of them imho.
And yes i do rip stubbles up but harvest time only ones.
Actually did 150ac plus that was then apart from maybes 40ac of that not worked & just combi drilled then after.

I use a plough , powerharrow combi , sabre tine direct tine drill ( but sometimes in min til )and a direct disc drill .
im just confused as to which is best so do a bit of everything.

I have a plough, but also Quivogne Saturn. It’s a good machine A bit like a sumo with curved legs that go in opposite directions, they tend to lift a break the soil but hopefully not bring seed up from depth. Followed by a double row of wavy discs to break things down. 5m wide and fully mounted takes some lifting
