Jockey wheel was properly embedded in rear bumper too. Won't be winding that down ever again. Took a bit of effort to separate too. Low range in 1st. 3rd attempt all 4 wheels spinning on concrete. Then the NSR tyre lost all its air on the way home. 😂

Drilling last field of spring barley and having a use up so had to re calibrate the drill halfway across the field. Anyway looks like the drill man forgot to shut the flap on the hopper after calibrating 😗🤦‍♂️. Think I’ll have to sack him😂

luckily only a couple of acres before it got noticed 🙄. Be interesting to see if there’s a yield difference anyway 🤔
Seen that done with winter barley, interestingly hardly any blackgrass grew in the broadcast bits.

I used to work for a carrot grower (among other crops). Everytime when starting a different variety or seeding a different rate you had to make sure how many seeds you where actually seeding. This was done by weighing what you put in and at the end of the testpiece sucking it back out and calculating the difference. Every seedbatch has the 1000 seed weight on the package, after the seed was weighed, the length of the test was added through gps, my collegue (who had worked there for much longer) did the math and concluded what had to be done, either set the scrapers back or forth a little. After a while I suggested that it would be easier to just calculate how many grams we needed on the test (mostly between 10 and 30 grams). Total confusion on his side as he just couldn't get his head around how I did that. I am certainly not knocking him as he was better at pretty much everything but a bit of applied math was just out of his scope.
Not knocking the above person either, i just made me smile.

No pictures for my latest f*** up, but I thought I’d share it in case it helps someone else.
Wanted to put in a couple of capital item claims as part of our mid tier CS. Not done it before so decided to start on the smaller claim first. Spent some time sorting out Post Office verify, then into the RPA system. Checked and rechecked the lengths for the 4 fields of hedge laying. Found out you can’t submit evidence photos through the system, they have to be emailed separately (why?). Checked it all again and pressed submit.
Feeling quite pleased with myself, I set about opening another claim for a covered yard. Failed to open it.
Spoke to our agents this morning who informed me you can’t submit more than 1 claim at a time and I’m likely to have to wait 60 days at least before I can submit the next one, and that it will be at least another 60 days before that gets close to payment. I’m now going to have to wait over 4 months for 18.5k, and we’re only a small business.
If these are their rules, why can’t they at least tell us?
