Australia Free Trade Deal?

Except that you are talking about South America that will soon be able to offload direct to the UK without going through Ireland at a large discount….. that 20% you are talking about plus.
Assuming of course, and I think it's a fair assumption, that in the next 24 months China will slow down its imports and the world price of beef falls well below UK price so that they can ship it here after paying their export tax and still substantially undercut UK producers.

All based on the fact that IF Australia gets that unfettered access with no restrictions, everyone else will have to have the same access to our markets on the same terms.
As I keep saying. Why would everyone get the same deal? And you do NOT have to do a deal with all and asunder..... Australia only has 6 fta's currently. All different. All negotiated on their own merits. Your just scaremongering. .

Because I'm not sure that when people voted to "take back control" they expected to have their market flooded in a free trade free for all. So now is the time to remind said politicians what they promised and hold them to it. Once one country gets free access on agricultural products it will become a part of every deal we strike. How vulnerable is your business to this threat?
The same as when we were in the eu or have you forgotten about pig crates and chicken cages,we have always been easy targets for food that is not produced to our standards

Because the UK is desperate. Which is the only reason Australia is insisting on this deal and the UK is likely to give it.

This could be a golden opportunity to set the bar high. Only let in what is of an equal high standard, scrap subsidies. Everyone's happy 🙂

Well sh!t, no one says you have to do a deal with the whole world now do they....

But, but, but, the foundational stone of Brexit, was that EU was too protectionist and didn’t have trade deals with the world (even though it has over 70 such deals).
Global Britain said the Brexit bucaneers would have all the main players lining up in an orderly queue to get an audience with the UK trade minister.
What they overlooked however, was that these country’s would arrive with cane in hand, to spank Britain’s little bottom, before having their wicked trade ways with it.
My recommendation is to keep the lubricant close at hand. And some sudocream for the spank marks.

Europe is paying more for containers now as they are scarce or in the wrong place. Apparently its one of the reasons we're struggling to get containers in and product out. Ships would rather run back and to to Europe/UK than come down here.

Containers from far East to UK are now a premium compared to far East to Europe (Rotterdam etc)
Previous post quoting price increases is spot on, this is affecting manufactured goods more than ag products though

Prices are not high
If wheat was £500 and osr £1000 i would say that was still not high but where it should be.
First rape i ever grew in 85 fetched £340/ t.
I Sold wheat in 87 for £165
That 30 ac wheat field paid for a brand new 100 hp fwd ford

So perhaps kit was cheap?

All together now….. Oh yes we are!
The UK government maybe
and you by the way you said we
everyone else in this fine Kingdom who knows

The UK governments have history of thinking they know what the UK people want and getting it wrong, see their pathetic handling of the UK's involvement with the EU and the subsequent and completely avoidable wish to leave.
