Don’t reckon you know spaniels

yeah guess they would enjoy it, just trying to think of things that don't avoid confrontation, i'm a bit of a wimp and can only face up to people like this if the red mist has genuinely descended. (Had a bloke who I know hit me with his wing mirror as he sped past when we were moving stock, we were as surprised as each other by my reaction lol).

you can buy snail / slug pellets or mice bait - both of which can be fatal to pets - off the shelf in any local hardware or gardening shop or any food supermarket here
You can here but there easily counteracted takes a fair moron not to notice a dog bleeding internally so I’d imagine it wouldn’t be that effective might leave the man with a decent size vet bill

I would ring the police first thing this morning if I were you and get your side of story down as from previous experience the bloke you have had a run with is probably going to and no doubt it will be you in the wrong.

Never mind the phone, put it in writing with a copy to the chief constable, and make sure you get an incident number as the police will claim the offender "has done nothing illegal". (Yes, I've had that too). State that the offender caused you "alarm and upset".

Some good suggestions here with filming him, involving police etc.
DO NOT do anything involving firearms, as tempting as it may be.

I don’t know what access you fellas have to various baits or chemicals, but if all else fails, can you spread some slug / snail pellets or mouse bait around that the dogs will hopefully eat ? Some 1080 fox baits would be ideal . . .
If you used any kind of poison and the dog became ill, or even if it died, it would probably be taken to a small animal vet to find out why. The vet nowadays is likely to be a pasty-faced young vegan woman who hates farmers, if the problem was traced back to you then all the fires of hell, official and unofficial, would be rained upon your head.
You can’t buy rat poison without a, paid for, certificate. The excuse for making people taking a test and paying for a expensive piece of paper was that too much poison might of being used indiscriminately, killing cuddly wildlife and beloved pets. Any suspicion that someone had used poison of any kind where anybody’s precious dog could pick it up would probably lead to more rules and regulation.

problem gone . . .
Can’t see how it’s the dogs fault maybe people cashing in on dogs sales and people not responsible enough to look after dogs are the problem
Big tough Aussie farmer shoots dog because useless f**ker can’t control dogs
What the f**k is the world coming to ???
By the way I have no problem shooting dogs if their in the wrong and have shot plenty worrying sheep
THE DOG IS NOT THE Problem in this case

one thing Ive noticed about the English - they are very soft on dogs . . .

people always say "its not the dogs fault", but there are FAR too many dogs in the world anyway

personally, I have a shoot to kill policy on any dogs I see, but obviously not if there are any people around

To be fair, most dogs which are poisoned will belong to the farmer
