One case of food poisoning per year is enough for someone to say milk is "not safe"? How many cases of food poisoning are there per year due to poor hygiene in kitchens? Yet no one says home cooking should be banned.

Another case of "Let's kick the farmers 'cos they won't kick back."
Not one case per year, one outbreak per year, each outbreak could have affected multiple people (26 outbreaks - 343 people, so 12 outbreaks likely more than 12 cases!)

To be honest selling unpasteurised milk is asking for trouble I know most of us drink it but we are also messing about with cows all the time and have probably got resistance to most things they carry
l expect you could have the same customer base, with pasteurised, but not homogenised milk, the main selling point, is the cream 'on the top' of the bottle.
Milk is an ideal medium, for all sorts of 'nasties' to rapidly grow in, and @Cowmansam is perfectly correct, we are well used to lots of 'nasties', where customers have had no exposure to them, completely different matter.
@Princess Pooper is so right, food poisoning can affect loads of people, from 1 case, and some can easily be fatal. On the other hand, people(some) live in such a sterile environment, they have no natural resistance to everyday bugs. Science through it's desire for better health, has probably gone slightly to far. However we can be certain people wont stop eating food for long !

We do sell pasteurised and it goes well i would imagine you are open to all sorts of claims selling raw intact I seem to think you can’t sell it and must instead ask for a donation or some such side step off the law
